For our young participants aged 14-17, our Summer Program offers a holistic blend of English language education and city exploration. With a focus on character development through our Core Values Model and the dynamic R.O.P.E. Program, our students reside comfortably at CCNY Towers, enjoying full room, board, and supervision.
What is the R.O.P.E. Program?
The Rites of Passage Experience allows young people
to form lifelong connections. Young scholars will be challenged to build brotherhood, sisterhood and siblinghood. They will uncover personal stories diving into who they are and what their identities say about them as they add to their life definitions. Whether it be manhood, womanhood or personhood, understanding yourself will create connections to form bonds with others. The bonds that are created last a lifetime.
The ultimate goal withinall of this growth is to establish critical thinkers and leaders. Compassionate, empathetic, decisive, strong leaders. Regardless of distance, your scholar will be challenged in these areas in a very short time tocreate understanding. Cultural, religious, spiritual, physical understanding and acceptance.
